GAHANNA, Ohio – The Central Buckeye League and its member institutions recognize Allison Klinefelter of Columbus Academy as its senior female scholar-athlete for the 2023-2024 school year.
Klinefelter shined during her career at Academy, collecting a 4.31 weighted grade point average. She was elected a service board shaper in her freshman year of high school and collected silver medal honors in the National Spanish Exam. The Clemson University Track & Field commit has also featured on the CA Service Board and Handshake America.
She has also captured many accolades during her athletic career in Maroon and Gray. Just this past winter, Klinefelter claimed the Ohio Indoor State Championship and set a meet record. She is also All-Ohio in the outdoor high jump (2022-2023), All-Ohio high jump and triple jump for the indoor season (2024). Klinefelter also holds the Columbus Academy school records for the high jump, triple jump, and 4×100 meter. She was also the district champion and regional runner up in 2023 and most valuable player in 2022.
In the fall she heads to Clemson University where she is signing and will compete for the Tigers Track and Field team. She will focus her studies on Biology, Health Sciences, and Genetics. To assist with her studies the Central Buckeye League has awarded Klinefelter a $1000 scholarship.
