GAHANNA, Ohio – The Central Buckeye League and its member institutions would like to recognize Andre Jackson of Whitehall-Yearling High School as its male scholar athlete for the 2023-24 school year.
Jackson enjoyed a high school career in which he collected a 4.0 grade point average during his tenure as a Ram. He is a member of Handshake America and has collected honor roll accolades during every quarter of his high school career.
During his athletic career Jackson is a four time letterman in football and track. He also collected three varsity letters in basketball and two in indoor track. Jackson also is a two-time All-Ohio Track and Field athlete and is poised to collect a third award at the conclusion of this spring season. He is also a first team All-League winner in football and received honor mention honors in basketball.
In the fall he is heading to Wagner College in New York City where he will determine his course of studies at a later date. To assist with his studies the Central Buckeye League has awarded Jackson a $1000 scholarship.
