BEXLEY, Ohio – Saturday was a memorable day on the campus of Columbus School for Girls as teams from around the Central Buckeye League converged on the CSG campus to compete in the 2024 Central Buckeye League Swimming and Diving Championships.
A capacity crowd saw thrilling competition from some of Central Ohio’s best swimmers. Columbus Academy enjoyed a strong showing on the Boys side, leading to the Vikings claiming the first Boys Swimming conference championship in the newly minted CBL, while the Bexley Lions claimed the championship on the Girls side.

Prior to the swim meet, conference champions were crowded in the sport of diving. Bexley again enjoyed success as Jackson Monus claimed the conference championship on the boys side.
The girls competition was much more heated but Columbus Academy’s Elle Vahedian claimed conference championship honors as she amassed a total score of 356.70 across her 11 dives. Maura Yates from Grandview Heights finished in second place with a score of 311.10 and Mackenzie Gibson of CSG finished in third with a score of 294.15.
