KANSAS CITY, Missouri – United Soccer Coaches announced the High School Team Academic Award winners, recognized for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2023-24 academic year.
A total of 291 soccer teams (116 boys, 175 girls) posted a team grade point average of 3.25 or higher, earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year. Of that total, 33 schools had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
Bexley High School is one of just 24 Ohio schools (three in Central Ohio) recognized with this prestigious award. The Lions maintained a robust 3.9 GPA to claim their spot on the list.
The Central Buckeye League would like to congratulate the Lions on their accomplishments as well as head coach Scott James. Bexley returns to CBL conference play on Wednesday, September 18 against Franklin Heights.
