GAHANNA, Ohio – The Buckeye Valley Barons carried through the lead from start to finish of the Central Buckeye League Boys Golf season, clinching the 2024 Boys Golf Championship with an impressive 17-1 record and winning all three conference tournaments. The Barons claimed the lowest tournament score with a conference low 300 score during the September 24th event at Turnberry Golf Course.
Worthington Christian finished second in the conference with a 13-5 record, while Bexley and Columbus Academy were tied in third place with a 12-6 record. Grandview Heights finished in fifth position with a 6-12 mark, while Bishop Ready finishes in sixth with a record of 3-15 and Franklin Heights completes its first CBL campaign in seventh position.
Buckeye Valley junior Sam Reynolds is the Central Buckeye Boys Golf Player of the Year. His scoring average of 71.5 bested teammate Matthew Ralph for the top spot in the conference.
