GAHANNA, Ohio – The Columbus Academy Vikings are just two wins away from capturing their first OHSAA Division V State Championship in school history. The Vikes currently sit with an overall record of 27-0 and finished the 2024-2025 Central Buckeye League season with a perfect record of 14-0 in conference play.
A victory for Academy will give the team a 28-0 record which will break the record this year’s squad shares with the 1980-81 squad who also enjoyed a 27-0 record and is the only other basketball team in school history to advance to the state final four.
CA battles Cincinnati Summit Country Day on Friday, March 14th at the Pam Evans Smith Arena on the campus of Wittenburg University. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 PM.
