GAHANNA, Ohio – Last week the Central Buckeye League announced its winners of the Male and Female Senior Scholar Athlete Award. Allison Klinefelter (Columbus Academy) and Andre Jackson (Whitehall-Yearling) were unanimous award winners as voted on by the CBL Executive Committee.
The CBL league is proud to announce two more award winners.
Conlan Dent (Bishop Ready) has been named the Junior Male Scholar. Dent received high accolades as he is a three-sport athlete for the Silver Knights and enjoys a 3.98 weight grade point average. The Ready junior is a three-time academic letterman, NHS member, and CBL Academic All-League award winner. Dent also serves on the student council, beta club, and is an altar server, and works at a local food bank.
Sammy Morris (Columbus School for Girls) is a three-sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball. CSG officials say she “takes a challenging course load” and has ambitions of a pre-med or STEM career. Morris captured Honorable Mention accolades in the Mid-State League. She serves as a gymnastics camp counselor, leadership fellow, and is poised to become the Senior Class President.
