COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Central Buckeye League (CBL) has selected Thomas N. “T.C” Couhig to be its new commissioner. Couhig takes over for former commissioner Jim Hayes who stepped down at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year citing personal reasons.
Couhig brings 50 seasons of coaching experience across four different sports to his new post. Before his most recent position as President of Gahanna Junior League Sports in Gahanna, OH, Couhig earned his Juris Doctor in 2002 from the University of Notre Dame Law School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marietta College where he was a senior captain and a three-time all Ohio Athletic Conference center for the Pioneers football program.
In accepting the Commissioner position, Couhig said he was “honored to serve as Commissioner for the Central Buckeye League and continue the outstanding commitment of its member schools to athletics as a classroom for developing leadership, accountability, and work ethic for their student athletes. We all look forward to setting a high standard for sportsmanship and decorum for CBL athletes, coaches, and administrators.”
